Since we began #isolife, our working lives have completely changed. As part of dealing with our new normal, we take a look behind the screens of the LEP Digital team in our new #WFH (work from home) environments in a new interview-style blog series. The latest interview is with our Digital Marketing Manager, Sophie Crenigan-Edwards.
Q: Favourite go-to WFH getup:
Sophie: Activewear, activewear and more activewear.
Q: What I’m listening to on Spotify right now:
Sophie: I’m working my way through the decades – a little bit of the 60s, 70s, and 80s at the moment.
Q: What I’m watching on Netflix right now:
Sophie: We’re currently taking a break from Netflix, but I’ve been getting into SBS on Demand – there’s a variety of international and foreign thrillers and dramas. My husband and I have been getting into a show called The Dublin Murders an Irish-based crime thriller.
Q: You’ll hear me say this at least three times on a video call:
Sophie: I may not say it three times, but I regularly attend our team video meetings with a piece of toast and marmalade and my cup of tea.
Q: What I’m cooking this weekend:
Sophie: We’ve been using the home delivery service Marley Spoon and I’m absolutely loving it. We pick our dishes in advance, turns up on time every week and there’s minimal food waste as everything is portioned for two. Every night we’re cooking something completely different inspired by international cuisines and using ingredients we’ve never normally use. I believe a Moroccan tagine is on the menu this weekend.
Q: How I’m staying active:
Sophie: I’m trying to work out every day. Whether that’s a walk after work with my husband or doing a home workout like boxing or a weights session. I’m also trying to hit 10,000 steps a day.
Q: My best WFH productivity hack:
Sophie: At the moment, the LEP team do a quick video chat in the morning. It’s a really great way to set out our daily goals and objectives. I also make an effort to get up a take a quick break after I complete my tasks. It’s important to give your eyes a rest.
Q: Which emoji best represents your mood right now:
Sophie: 🧖♀️ Amidst all this uncertainty, it’s important to look after ourselves and show some self-care. After my workout, I’m going to have a little RnR – perhaps a bath, glass of wine and a face mask. We might be in isolation, but pampering isn’t out of the question.
Q: I’m kept company by these people/pets:
Sophie: My husband and two furbabies, Leo and Lotso.
Q: What I’m most grateful for:
Sophie: My wonderful family, friends and co-workers.
