NSW Marine Estate is an agency of the NSW Government, working in partnership with industry and community, to support and manage a healthy coast and sea. In 2023-2024, LEP Digital was engaged to improve its existing website, based on a set of internal and external recommendations.

  • Outdated information, making for a poor user experience.

  • Government-centric, appealing to stakeholders who have existing knoweledge of the agency and its programs.

Our Solutions

  • Outlined goals. We started by identifying the key challenges of the current website and setting goals for the new website to meet all stakeholder requirements.
  • Website content audit. During this process, we carried out a comprehensive website content audit, which included grading every page on the existing website.
  • Concept and wireframing. We then worked on homepage design concepts and began wireframing.
  • Design and UX. Working in collaboration with the existing website development partner, we crafted refreshed page designs for the key navigational pages, focusing on user experience and organisational goals.
  • Copywriting and content migration. Once the new information architecture and designs were approved, our team began copywriting and editing for 100 internal pages. We oversaw the content migration and website development.
  • Quality assurance testing. We conducted pre and post-launch user testing to ensure that the new website was error-free and that user experience was outstanding.
